The End of my story trip to the Aviary Bird Seed Store..

See how the baby canaries have grown since my trip to the seed store. They have their eyes open, a few pin feathers coming in, you can see they will be yellow. Their crop is full of green peas and nestling food...they are well on their way to being fledglings.

If you have the time and really want to enjoy the animals on my trip, be sure to click on and enlarge the photos...The yellow feathers are spooky.

This Old House...

I just like this old house...it has old house class, a warmth, a place to enjoy life.

The Bull!

You can bet this is a Bull...All by himself..just resting in the back of the barn yard...:)

More Country and Cows

If you look to the mountain chain you can see the sun shinning on the break between the mountains. that is about as close as the sun got to us that day...the cows are down for the afternoon cud chewing event.

One Picture says it All!

The Spring grass, the pond, the cows and pasture. The farm house to the left as seen through the branched trees. A backdrop of the Tuscurora Mountain Chain and Sky Watch for the overcast day.
An enlargement will show you some houses over to the right, this would be Rt 30 towards Ft. Loudon PA.

In the close up you can see two of the cows saw me taking the picture and are looking my way.. K

the cows are next

the first day of Spring & the wash is on the line.

I doubt this farm lady is worried about the stock market...her wash is blowing in the breeze on this first day of Spring 2009. Note; there are no electric lines going to the house..

feathered fowl by the road side...

Do you think the hawk was looking for the chickens? Anyway, here are two hens with a Rooster. The hawk was by the road side and flew as I stopped the car, I was able to catch him in flight. He was brown. I hope the hens purpose in life is to lay eggs.

some of the dogs I saw on the way.

See the mountain chain behind blackie. I know Blackie was a rescue, he now protects the property for food and shelter..

view of the sheep on the hill side as I am leaving the Aviary.

The Beauty of it all..The Tuscarora Mountain Chain in the background. This chain of mountains run N/S and to the West of me. click pic to see sheep up close.

preparing the land for planting calls for Fertilizer!! is that what I think it is?

Just a few blocks from the house, I spotted this mother goat and her kids running and playing in the field..Look to the top to see the flock of birds coming North for spring. They were so cute, I almost missed the shot..
