As usual I had company today April 10 2009 for this front yard shoot. Spring is so great with the first flowers in full bloom. We were being watched from overhead as the Hawk circled looking for prey. As well the locals checking out the newley loaded bird feeder.

If you look to the mountain chain you can see the sun shinning on the break between the mountains. that is about as close as the sun got to us that day...the cows are down for the afternoon cud chewing event.

Do you think the hawk was looking for the chickens? Anyway, here are two hens with a Rooster. The hawk was by the road side and flew as I stopped the car, I was able to catch him in flight. He was brown. I hope the hens purpose in life is to lay eggs.

I got some delicious canary food today, I am lucky to have Beaver Creek Avaiary Bird Foods located very close to me..They sell bird seeds world wide so I feel I am getting a real quality food for the birds.
